It was an outstanding Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday this season. CTCN presented in several locations. Our ongoing partnership with the New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA) was exceptional yet again. This was our first year partnering with the city of East Hartford, CT and the East Hartford Black Caucus. Teaching Artists, Gamaliel Moses, Adjovi Simpini and Shanna Melton were joined by youth from CREC Academy of Aerospace and Engineering for a fantastic day at the NBMAA with over 300 people in attendance. Shout out to the 881 Grab & Go Restaurant, for their great eats, and serious youth leadership. Simultaneously, CTCN’s Director of Community and Police Engagement, Pastor John Lewis, spoke at the first annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Commemoration of East Hartford, CT. We are delighted to develop a partnership with the East Hartford Black Caucus. Stay tuned for more exciting news on this front.
