Community & Law Enforcement Training

The training provides an introduction to the skills, information, and application of Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation that helps build community and police relations. It sets a basic foundation for understanding issues and problems facing individuals, groups, and communities. The training explores conflict management concepts, theories, strategies, and techniques of the Nonviolence methodology. It is a highly interactive, educational experience designed to teach skills and provide a philosophical, cognitive experience. This course is POST-certified.

CTCN has built a longstanding and growing relationship with various Connecticut police departments, including the CT State Police, Yale University Police, New Britain Police, and particularly the New Haven Police Department, which has received high praise from the Chief of Police. This collaboration, spanning over eight years, focuses on enhancing community and police relations through meetups and organized events.
